If you’re a regular visitor to SearchEngineAcademy.com you’ve probably already noticed our new look.  Our web design and development team has been working long and hard on giving the Search Engine Academy website a badly overdue update.  Our priorities in designing the new site have been two-fold.  First, we naturally want to let everyone know about the unmatched depth of SEO and training experience that the SEA has to offer.  But as importantly, we want to make the new SEA website a much more useful, easier to use resource both for professional SEOs as well as businesses looking for help navigating the increasingly complex world of Internet Search.

As we continue to develop our Internet presence through our website, we will be soliciting feedback from you, the website visitor.  We value suggestions from our readers and students as to what kinds of information and what educational resources you would like to see to make our SEO training the perfect fit for you (and leaving a note in the comments right now would be a good way to start).

Corporate Restructure Puts SEO Training Back Front and Center at the SEA

The new website is just the tip of the iceberg at the SEA, because we have also gone through a major restructuring of the Search Engine Academy business structure in the first months of 2015.  The original vision of John Alexander and Robin Nobles, namely to bring formal training to the world of Search Marketing and Optimization, has stood the test of time and the Search Engine Academy is now well into its second decade.  As our home page proudly proclaims, we’ve trained over 3,500 students in 9 countries, and counting.

The Search Engine Academy has provided SEO training to over 3,500 students; maybe you’ll be the next!

The SEA has now reached a point where a more formal business structure is needed for us to expand and improve our training into the next 10 years of search, and so John Alexander, who remains active with the SEA, has turned over control of the business to a formal board of directors.  This will allow John to focus on education, research, and writing, and will equip the SEA to achieve an ever higher standard as the technical training center for Internet search marketers at all levels of experience.

The current Board of Directors of the SEA is composed entirely of instructors and consists of Steve Scott, Greg Mate, Sue Cooper, Beth Kahlich, and myself.  We are excited about the opportunity to build on what John and Robin started, and we hope you’ll stick around to see what good things are in store from the new Search Engine Academy.
